JOHN LYNOTT
Coach

John Lynott is entering his twelfth season on the Long Island Express coaching staff.  John has been a part of the widely successful lacrosse program; John is also the defensive lacrosse coach for the Saint Anthony’s lacrosse team.  Prior to Saint Anthony’s, John spent time coaching the Junior Varsity lacrosse team at Massapequa High School.  John’s personal accolades’ as a lacrosse player himself include defensive player of the year when he played for Nassau Community College.  Additionally as a captain, he helped to lead his team to two National Championships.  John also had a short stint playing for the University of Maryland as a defensive player.  His lacrosse career was cut short when he was called to serve for the NYPD.  However, this was not the end of John’s passion for the game; he then went on to create the first FDNY men’s lacrosse team shortly after he left the police department and became a New York firefighter.  As one can see lacrosse runs through John’s blood.
